Casio Privia PX-S1000 Black Portable Piano
The Casio PX-S1000 portable piano is an excellent instrument which not only delivers a very high-quality piano sound but also looks beautiful in a stylish high-gloss case.
If you're looking for a stylish portable piano with excellent sound and keyboard feel, the PX-S1000 should be high on your list. A keyboard with escapement simulation is unprecedented at this price point.
Tony White - Bonners Piano Specialist
88 Note Weighted Piano Keyboard
When choosing a digital piano, the 'feel' of the keyboard is just as important as the overall sound quality. The keytops are textured too which prevents fingers from slipping after a prolonged period of playing. Five different touch sensitivity levels mean you can tailor the response to suit your own playing style.
Acoustic Piano Simulator
First and foremost, the PX-S1000 is designed to recreate the experience of playing a grand piano, but in a portable form. The Acoustic Simulator function gives you detailed control over parameters including String Resonance, Damper Resonance, Key-Off Response, Key Action Noise and Damper Noise. In fact, there's so much control over the acoustic piano sound that it's like being your own Piano Technician.
18 On-Board Sounds
There are a total of 18 onboard sounds in the PX-S1000 which include acoustic pianos, e.pianos, organs, harpsichord, strings, bass voices and others. It is possible to layer two voices together or create a split keyboard where you have a bass voice on the left hand and another sound on the right. Total polyphony is a maximum of 192 notes (this is the number of notes which can sound simultaneously).
Digital Effects To Enhance The Sound
The popular Hall Simulator feature gives the experience of playing in a large concert hall, stage, cathedral and other ambient buildings. In addition to this, standard reverb, chorus, brilliance and DSP can be used to enhance the sound of the PX-S1000 further.
Record Your Performance
The PX-S1000 is equipped with an onboard recording feature which allows you to store up to 10 songs in the internal memory. The recorder is two-track, which means you can either record two different sounds for over-dub style recording or record both hands individually when learning a difficult passage or piece of music.
Pedals
A Casio SP3 foot pedal is included in the box for the most important sustain function, but if you purchase the optional CS68P wooden stand, you can also add the optional SP34 triple piano pedal unit to give you three pedals - just like a real grand piano!
Dual Headphone Output
The PX-S1000 is fitted with two headphone outputs so that you and a friend can practice the piano together without disturbing others in the household.
Internal Speakers and Separate Line-Output Jacks
As well as a rich-sounding 8w + 8w internal amplification/speaker system, the PX-S1000 is also fitted with quarter-inch stereo line output jacks for connection to external amplification systems.
USB Connection
A USB to host connector allows a standard USB cable connection to your computer or smart device. The PX-S1000 is compatible with Casio's Chordana piano app.
Battery Or Mains Operation
Power to the Casio PX-S1000 is either provided by the included AD-A12150LW mains adaptor or it works using 6 x D-Size batteries (not included),
Included Accessories
- Pedal(SP-3)
