As well as resetting instruments to their factory settings, we ensure instruments are upgraded to the latest firmware, to make sure the unit you receive has up-to-date features. If you have any questions about a particular used keyboard or digital piano, feel free to call us on 01323 639335.

Casio PX-S3100 Digital Piano

The Casio PX-S3100 takes the extremely lightweight & portable concept of the Privia PX-S range to the max with a huge palette of sounds, 200 rhythms, pitch bend + 2 controller knobs, more effects and improved recording features. Weighing just 11.4KG and measuring just 232mm from front to back.

True-To-Life Keyboard Feel

The PX-S3100 has a full 88-note Smart Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard which offers five levels of touch response, so you're sure to find the right feel to suit your own playing technique. The full 88-key digital scaling means that the keys feel progressively 'lighter' in weighting as you progress from the lower to upper registers of the keyboard, which is similar to that of an acoustic grand piano.

Beautiful Acoustic Piano Sounds

Casio's AiR Sound Source accurately reproduces the voice of a beautiful grand piano. The sound develops in both volume and tone (timbre) depending on how hard the keys are played, which means the instrument responds to the player's every nuance of expression. Casio has even captured the sound of the mechanical hammer action of an acoustic instrument and this can be heard when playing pianissimo (softly).

The Acoustic simulator features allow adjustment of String Resonance, Damper Resonance, Key Action Noise and Damper Noise, which means you can tailor the piano sound to your own specific requirements.

Total Of 700 Sounds

The Casio PX-S3100 has a total of 700 tones that cover all popular styles of music. In addition to a superb range of keyboard voices (incl organs, pianos, harpsichords, clavs etc), the PX-S3100 offers guitars, percussion, orchestral, brass, woodwind, synthesizer, World-music, and special effects. Layer any two voices together to create rich sound textures, or split the keyboard in two for playing two voices independently with each hand.

Digital Voice Effects

The Hall Simulator adds a choice of four beautiful ambience effects to make the sound even more spacious, plus there are 8 standard reverb effects.

There are also two choices of Surround Sound effects that widen the stereo field when using the instrument's own speakers and the brilliance effect allows you to alter the brightness of the piano's tonal character.

The PX-S3100 offers 12 types of Chorus effects for detuning or 'warming up' synth and e.piano sounds, and there are 100 Editable DSP effects.

Bluetooth Audio + MIDI For Ultimate Connectivity

Included with the PX-S3100 is the Casio WU-BT10 Wireless MIDI & Audio Adaptor. This allows for wireless streaming of audio using the speakers of the PX-S3100, which is ideal for playing along with your favourite tracks from streaming services such as Spotify, Apple iTunes, YouTube Music and more.

Bluetooth MIDI connectivity allows connection to your smartphone or tablet device for remote control of the piano's features. Open the Casio Chordana Play for Piano app and use the touchscreen of your device to change the tones, access functions, or play preset songs.

Recording On-Board

Use the onboard 3-track recorder to listen back to your own performances, which is ideal for practice purposes, or simply for capturing your musical ideas very quickly, and without the hassle of connecting external recording devices. The punch-in feature allows you to start recording part-way through your song, which makes it easy to correct mistakes, or add overdubs without needing to start from the beginning every time!

It's also possible to record the actual sound of the PX-S3100 as an audio file that is compatible with most electronic audio playback devices and computers. This is perfect for sharing your music with family, friends, or the World when you upload to the internet! All you need to record audio is to plug in an external USB memory stick (not included).

Amplification & Speaker System

A stereo 8w + 8w amplifier drives 2 16cm x 8cm (oval) speakers and produces a very rich sound that belies the instrument's physical size.

Connections

There are two headphone sockets conveniently located for two people to enjoy the sound of the PX-S3100 at the same time. In addition to this, on the rear of the instrument, you'll find 2 standard ¼" mono jack outputs for connection to external amplification. A USB Type-A port is provided for wired connection to computers, and the USB type B port can be used for connection to external memory devices for audio recording.

Useful Features

The Pitch Bend wheel allows for the more realistic performance of guitar, brass, woodwind and synth sounds, whilst the two assignable controller knobs can be set to change sound characteristics such as Filter Cutoff, Brilliance, Vibrato, Layer Volume, Effects Send etc.

Registration memories are available to store your settings for instant-recall - this saves time setting the instrument up for every performance.

The auto harmonize function adds a chord to single notes played in the right hand, based on the chord detection of the auto-accompaniment in the lower register.

The arpeggiator is useful for creating rhythmic melodies based on the notes being pressed on the keyboard. The arpeggiator takes the notes of a chord and plays them one by one, instead of all at the same time, and is a great way to add movement to a song and keep your chord progressions from getting stale.
