PRS S2 Satin Standard 22; Vintage Cherry: Serial No: 16 S2019674 | Second Hand
An American-made, solidbody electric guitar built for versatile playability and raw tonal response.
The PRS S2 Series offers players authentic Stevensville, Maryland craftsmanship in a streamlined, gig-ready instrument designed for maximum performance utility. Built around an all-mahogany construction and an ultra-thin satin nitrocellulose finish, the S2 Standard 22 removes unnecessary visual embellishments to allow the natural resonance and organic response of the tonewood to speak clearly.
This guitar features a solid mahogany body paired with a set mahogany neck featuring PRS's comfortable Pattern Regular profile. The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard has a 25-inch scale length, a 10-inch radius, and signature dot inlays. Electronics consist of a pair of push/pull coil-splittable 85/15 "S" humbucking pickups wired to a master volume, master tone, and a 3-way toggle switch. Hardware includes a PRS patented molded tremolo bridge alongside PRS low-mass locking tuners.
Tonewood & Finish Characteristics
-
All-Mahogany Construction: Solid mahogany body and set neck deliver a warm, mid-focused resonance with strong natural sustain.
-
Satin Nitro Finish: Ultra-thin nitrocellulose satin coating allows the wood to breathe freely while providing a smooth, fast neck feel that will not bind under stage lighting.
-
Pattern Regular Neck Profile: Ergonomic neck shape patterned after Paul Reed Smith’s original pre-factory designs for balanced hand comfort across both rhythm and lead playing.
Pickup Options & Hardware Precision
-
85/15 "S" Humbuckers: Versatile active-style clarity in a passive pickup design, delivering extended high-and-low frequency response without mid-range clutter.
-
Push/Pull Coil-Splitting: Master tone control features an integrated push/pull pot to split the humbuckers into single-coil operation for bright, snappy vintage tones.
-
PRS Hardware Package: Combination of a PRS patented molded tremolo for smooth dive dynamics and low-mass locking tuners for efficient string changes and reliable tuning stability.
